These high capacity Tonutti V-rakes are designed to work high quantities of forage, delicate crops, heavy and wet silage, on inclines and in hilly areas. The Raptor is the ideal low cost solution for areas where a carted rake is not sufficient.
The Raptors are ground driven without any PTOs, gear boxes or other expensive and delicate parts. For this reason a Raptor can be operated at very high ground speeds with very small tractors of only 30HP. For the same reason maintenance is also very easy, fast and inexpensive.
All finger wheels are independently spring supported and work vertically to the ground. they adapt individually to the smallest variation of the terrain compared to the disadvantage of horizontally working rotors of rotary rakes.
Finger wheels are equipped with specially shaped tynes made of flexible heat treated spring steel. The flexibility of the tynes guarantees a big footprint of 5 - 7 tynes at a time on the ground, which gently rake the crop producing a consistent, fluffy and even windrow ideal for balers or pickups of all kinds. The flexibility of the tynes also filters all kinds of dirt and stones keeping the windrow very clean.
